My analysis reveals why this specific corridor consistently delivers exceptional hydrocarbon quality.

The thermal modeling demonstrates how the perfect interplay of burial depth and temperature history created ideal conditions for light oil generation, while avoiding over-maturation into gas.

The transformation ratio evolution shows the source rock achieved optimal maturity precisely within this golden lane, explaining the remarkable success rate of discoveries from Block 58 into Stabroek.

This research provides the scientific foundation for understanding the geochemical sweet spot that makes this corridor exceptional.

By modeling the source rock’s journey through various maturity windows, I’ve documented how the perfect combination of burial history, thermal stress, and organic matter transformation resulted in premium light oil generation.

This work not only validates the petroleum system model but crucially explains why this specific trend hosts the highest quality oil discoveries in the Suriname-Guyana Basin, supporting Blockโ€™s 58 exploration success and illuminating why this golden corridor continues to yield remarkable discoveries.
